YOU DIDN’T HEAR WRONG

God gave Joseph a dream but when he was thrown into a pit and sold into slavery by the people he saw bowing down to him in his dream, it seemed as if he heard wrong.

All Joseph went through made it to appear as if the dream God gave him was false but it wasn’t.

Joseph was only going through a season of test and preparation.

We are made to know that until the time the dream God gave Joseph came to pass, the word of God tested him in Psalm 105 verse 19.

God promised to multiply Abraham and make him a father of many nations but the barrenness and old age of Sarah made it appear as if he heard wrong.

When God gives you a word, you may begin to see or experience things that would make it appear as if you heard wrong.

You didn’t hear wrong.

The fact that what God said is taking too long to fulfil or you are seeing opposition and contradiction to what God said doesn’t mean you heard wrong.

You are only going through a season of test and preparation.

Experiencing the promises of God without having character is dangerous.

Having access to all that God has for you without the maturity and wisdom to steward them is dangerous.

Try imagine what Joseph would have done when he became the second in command in Egypt if he had not gone through a season of test.

James told us to count it all joy when we go through various trials. He went on to say that the trial of faith produces patience.

Character is developed in the season of trials. It is in the season of test you are equipped with all it takes to faithfully steward the promises of God when they fulfill.

Don’t allow what you see or feel to make you doubt what you heard from God.

When David became the armour-bearer of Saul, he had already been anointed king by Prophet Samuel.

One would think that it wasn’t God who sent Samuel to aniont David as king.

When God told Moses that He had given them the land of Canaan, giants were still occupying the land.

The delay in the fulfillment of God’s promises doesn’t mean God changed His mind and the contradictions to God’s word doesn’t mean He lied.

Don’t doubt the eternal word of God because of a temporal storm.

Don’t believe what you currently see or feel but believe what you heard from God.

Remember, we walk by faith and not by sight.

What is God’s promise to you? What has God told you?

Though you don’t currently see it fulfilling and what you are seeing may be contrary to what God told you but I want you to know that, YOU DIDN’T HEAR WRONG!!!

Hold on to what you’ve heard from God, don’t doubt or let go no matter your current situation or circumstances.

You didn’t hear wrong and you are going through a season of preparation.
