Why are you in despair, O my soul? And why are you disturbed within me? Hope in God, for I shall again praise Him, The help of my countenance and my God. Psalms 43:5 NASB1995
This Bible verse shows us what can happen when we are faced with a difficult situation, how we are to respond and what to look forward to.
When David saw the hopelessness and worry in his life due to the trials or trouble he was faced with, he had to encourage himself to hope in the Lord with the belief that He will again praise God.
David had the faith and confidence that the trials or trouble that he was faced with, will end with praise and a testimony.
Apostle Paul went through trials and persecution but still he said, we are afflicted in every way, but not crushed; perplexed, but not driven to despair in 2 Corinthians 4:8 ESV.
When faced with trials or a difficult situation, we would be tempted to worry and lose hope but we must encourage ourselves as David did.
We must keep reminding ourselves of who our heavenly Father is, believe in His word and look forward to the fulfilment of His promises.
Why are you feeling hopeless and worried within you my friend?
One season Joseph was thrown into a pit, sold into slavery and unjustly imprisoned, the next season he was a prime minister.
This is not how it’s going to end. There is going to be a turnaround. You shall again praise the Lord and testify of His goodness.
Wait for the Lord; Be strong and let your heart take courage; Yes, wait for the Lord. Psalms 27:14 NASB1995
“God is never late but always on time.”
There is no one who waited for the Lord, that waited in vain or regretted it.
David waited on the Lord and testified about it in Psalm 40:1-3;
I waited patiently for the LORD; And he inclined unto me, and heard my cry. He brought me up also out of an horrible pit, out of the miry clay, And set my feet upon a rock, and established my goings. And he hath put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God: Many shall see it, and fear, And shall trust in the LORD.
There is a blessing and a testimony in the waiting. Oftentimes many lose hope when they were at the edge of their breakthrough.
Whatever you are going through now is what you will be ministering and testifying about soon.
I would have despaired unless I had believed that I would see the goodness of the Lord In the land of the living. (Psalms 27:13 NASB1995
No matter what you are going through, keep believing that you will see the goodness of God and the fulfillment of His promises in the land of the living.
Don’t Lose Hope……
