Wait for the Lord; Be strong and let your heart take courage; Yes, wait for the Lord. (Psalms 27:14 NASB1995)
Oftentimes many give up when they were at the edge of their breakthrough.
Imagine if Joseph had decided to go for a prison break; He would have missed the invitation to the Palace.
No one likes the waiting season lol but again we end up waiting longer because we fail to wait the first time.
When we fail to trust God and wait for His timing, we find ourselves in a rollercoaster ride or in the same situation over and over again.
When it seems God is too slow or taking too long, we tend to do things our own way.
Sarah told Abraham to sleep with her maid because God was taking too long to give her a child.
Do we trust God enough to let go of our own plans and hold on to his promises even when nothing seems to be working?
The waiting season will show where your faith truly is. It will reveal if God is your one and only resort or if you have other options.
Some time ago I said Lord, how do I know that I truly trust you? He said when you have no plan B.
Oftentimes we come up with a plan B or try other options because we feel God may fail us or not come through for us.
Brethren, there is no one who waited for the Lord, that waited in vain. There is a blessing and testimony in the waiting.
David waited on the Lord and testified about it in Psalm 40:1-3;
I waited patiently for the LORD; And he inclined unto me, and heard my cry. He brought me up also out of an horrible pit, out of the miry clay, And set my feet upon a rock, and established my goings. And he hath put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God: Many shall see it, and fear, And shall trust in the LORD.
In the waiting season, you will be tempted to give up or try other options but you must continue to trust God and look forward to the fulfilment of His promises.
Brethren, God is never late but always on time.
It is well….
